Team Leader, Quality Inspection

Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Schedule: 40 Hours/Week + Overtime as Required
Overview
Epitec is seeking a Team Leader, Quality Inspection to lead a team of Quality Inspectors in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting both shop floor operations and quality management services.
The ideal candidate will have strong supervisory experience, a solid understanding of quality systems and processes, and the ability to lead teams while driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Quality Inspectors to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Manage and support Quality Management Services, including:
- Tool calibration
- CMM laboratory operations
- Non-conforming material and process management
- Drive initiatives related to safety, quality, efficiency, scheduling, and continuous improvement.
- Investigate and resolve production, process, equipment, and personnel-related issues.
- Monitor employee and team performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and work standards.
- Partner with safety teams to promote a safe work environment and prevent workplace injuries.
- Support training, development, and ongoing coaching of team members.
- Manage departmental resources and support operational cost objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality and manufacturing performance.
- Spend approximately 70% of time on the manufacturing floor and 30% performing office-based responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Strong supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or similar industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience with quality processes, quality systems, and quality fundamentals.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication and team leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other computer-based applications.
- Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to learn new processes and technologies.
- Ability to work overtime, off-shifts, and weekends as business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Candidates without a four-year degree will be considered if they possess significant leadership and supervisory experience.
Additional Information
- 100% on-site position from day one.
- Metatarsal safety footwear required on the first day.
- Primarily a first-shift role; schedule flexibility is required.
- Overtime hours will be requested as needed.
- Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future for this position.
