Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and oversee production personnel. This role is responsible for coordinating production activities, ensuring quality standards are met, improving operational efficiency, and driving employee performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience managing production teams, and a proven ability to resolve production, quality, and equipment-related issues while meeting safety, productivity, and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating employees.
  • Lead and motivate team members to achieve production, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Monitor production processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and equipment performance.
  • Investigate and resolve production, quality, and operational issues.
  • Develop and maintain production tracking and quality control systems.
  • Analyze production, maintenance, and quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure finished products meet established quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Hire, train, coach, evaluate, and develop production personnel.
  • Address employee concerns and support positive employee relations.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports, performance metrics, and personnel records.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, quality, and management teams to support manufacturing operations.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in Business, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of manufacturing or production leadership experience.
  • Experience supervising production employees in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Understanding of production planning, workflow optimization, and efficiency improvements.
  • Experience with production reporting and performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, machinery, maintenance principles, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing tracking systems.
