Supply Management Planner II

Location: Grovetown, GA
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Contract Duration: W2, 1-year, with possible extension
Schedule: First Shift, approximately 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, opportunity for overtime
Pay: $25.00/hr
Work Authorization: Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the near future.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Supply Management Planner to support manufacturing operations by coordinating supplier deliveries, resolving material shortages, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring purchased materials arrive in alignment with production requirements. This position works closely with suppliers, logistics teams, supply management, and factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with suppliers daily regarding delivery schedules, material availability, and potential delays.
  • Manage urgent material requests, aged advance shipping notices (ASNs), goods receipt compliance issues, and supplier delinquency recovery plans.
  • Partner with Supply Management Specialists to maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
  • Identify supplier performance issues and establish corrective actions to improve delivery and service.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve short-term delivery and performance problems.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the supply base.
  • Resolve shipping and receiving issues to support accurate and timely supplier payments.
  • Gather, track, and analyze data to ensure business and operational objectives are being met.
  • Schedule and expedite purchased materials needed to support production plans.
  • Recommend premium or expedited logistics alternatives when appropriate.
  • Serve as a key resource for factory logistics teams, operations, and suppliers regarding material and logistical issues.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Understanding of order fulfillment processes.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability and willingness to relocate domestically if required.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage changing material priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous supply management, material planning, or supply planning experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Cross-functional experience in:
    • Material flow
    • Logistics
    • Manufacturing operations
    • Supplier development
  • Experience working with SAP.
  • Proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, and SharePoint.

Education

  • Degree in Business/Management, Engineering/Technology, Supply Management, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in place of a degree.
