Shift: 1st Shift (Start time between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM)

Job Description
We are seeking a Supply Management Specialist to support key supply chain operations in Waterloo, IA. This position will serve as the primary liaison for a metal fabrication purchasing desk supporting large equipment manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include managing critical part shortages, addressing delinquent supplier requirements, mitigating production risks, and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams. This role requires active engagement with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute planning activities within a low-complexity supply chain environment.
- Perform supplier management activities to support business requirements and operational objectives.
- Collect, compile, and analyze data using established tools, methods, and reporting formats.
- Interpret data to identify potential solutions and recommend actions.
- Coordinate product and process testing and inspections.
- Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives while monitoring effectiveness.
- Review existing operations and contribute ideas for process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Resolve complex inquiries from internal customers, external customers, and suppliers, escalating issues when appropriate.
- Create, update, and maintain Microsoft Office documents, databases, and departmental systems.
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues on best practices and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- SAP experience required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and navigate complex issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong interest in developing relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

- Travel between local facilities using a personal vehicle is required.
- Position supports operations across multiple locations within the Waterloo area.
- Metatarsal safety shoes will be required, though not immediately upon start.
