Systems Administrator 2 (Onsite Manufacturing Support)
Location: Boonville, MO (primary) with regular travel to West Plains, MO
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift; flexibility required for travel and production support
Duration: 12?month contract
Pay: $36–40/hr W2

Role Overview
We are seeking a hands?on Systems Administrator to support two manufacturing facilities in Boonville and West Plains, Missouri. This role focuses on factory and shop?floor IT support, bridging office desktop support with manufacturing and machine?related systems. The position is primarily based in Boonville with recurring, same?day travel to West Plains as operational needs require.
This is not a network engineer role. The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter who is comfortable working in manufacturing environments and supporting systems that directly impact production.
Key Responsibilities
Factory & Technical Support
- Provide onsite Level 1 support for shop?floor systems, enterprise applications, and OT?connected devices
- Support desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, handheld devices, and production?related terminals
- Diagnose connectivity issues, including basic networking tasks (IP changes, checking ports, validating device connectivity)
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system issues impacting manufacturing operations
- Perform Windows patching, antivirus updates, backups, and basic disaster recovery tasks
OT & Manufacturing Systems Support
- Support factory and machine?related applications and OT monitoring programs
- Assist with diagnostics of devices and equipment connected to the production network
- Coordinate support activities around production schedules and critical machinery uptime
Security & Infrastructure
- Assist with firewall access administration and basic security risk mitigation
- Partner with cybersecurity stakeholders on vulnerabilities and remediation activities
- Provide basic server support as needed
Incident Management & Collaboration
- Manage and update tickets using ServiceNow
- Prioritize and resolve issues in a fast?paced manufacturing environment
- Work closely with manufacturing, facilities, and engineering teams
- Communicate technical issues and resolutions clearly to non?technical users
Required Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of hands?on IT support experience (manufacturing or shop?floor environments strongly preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and connected devices
- Basic networking knowledge (pinging devices, checking cables/ports, IP changes)
- Experience supporting end?user systems in operational or production environments
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and adjust priorities based on production needs
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Reliable personal vehicle required for travel between facilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting manufacturing facilities or shop?floor systems
- Exposure to OT environments, factory applications, or system integrator work
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field (preferred, not required)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
