Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Compensation: $38-$42/hour
Travel: Up to 25%


Position Overview

We are seeking a Systems Administrator 2 to provide on-site, first-line IT support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supporting production-critical systems, end-user technologies, and site infrastructure to ensure minimal downtime and reliable operational performance.

The Systems Administrator will act as a key liaison between plant operations, vendors, and enterprise IT teams to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining a strong customer-focused approach.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide rapid response and resolution for issues impacting manufacturing systems and operations
  • Manage and prioritize ticket queues, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication
  • Support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, tablets, peripherals, and business applications
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across the site
  • Coordinate escalations with enterprise IT teams and external vendors when required
  • Identify recurring technical issues and contribute to long-term solutions and process improvements
  • Support digital and automation initiatives, including low-code/no-code tools, data transformation, and reporting enhancements
  • Deliver end-user support, training, and guidance to improve adoption and experience

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of IT support experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Associate degree preferred (not required)

Technical Skills

  • Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred, or Remedy/Jira)
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft technologies (Office, SharePoint, Power BI)
  • PC troubleshooting across hardware, software, and configurations
  • Mobile device support (phones, tablets, enterprise mobility)
  • Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Work Environment

  • Fully on-site, 5 days/week in a manufacturing facility
  • Frequent interaction with shop floor personnel and supervisors
  • Small team environment with cross-functional collaboration

Additional Considerations

  • Must be local to the Decatur, IL area or able to relocate independently
  • Stable work history required
