Pay Range: $61- 63 Per Hour
Location: Dearborn, Michigan, Hybrid
Job Type: W2 Contract.
Expected Hours per Week: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday

Position Summary:
We are seeking an Automotive Low Voltage Power Systems Engineer to support the development of next-generation vehicle electrical architectures. This role will focus on the design, analysis, integration, and validation of 12V and 48V power supply systems, applying systems engineering principles and functional safety methodologies to deliver robust and innovative vehicle power solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop low voltage power supply architectures (12V and 48V) and power distribution concepts for new vehicle platforms.
  • Apply systems engineering methodologies to derive and manage vehicle-level and subsystem requirements.
  • Define, analyze, size, and verify power supply system requirements and electrical architectures.
  • Implement ISO 26262 functional safety processes for low voltage power systems.
  • Support development, integration, and validation of power supply components and subsystems.
  • Collaborate with controls, hardware, and vehicle engineering teams to ensure seamless power management operation.
  • Support vehicle-level integration of low voltage power networks.
  • Interface with suppliers and component engineers to resolve technical issues and ensure successful product delivery.
  • Utilize AI tools and methodologies for engineering analysis, optimization, and problem-solving.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience designing, analyzing, sizing, and validating automotive low voltage power supply systems (12V and/or 48V).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and automotive electrical architectures.
  • Proven experience applying systems engineering principles and methodologies.
  • Experience implementing ISO 26262 functional safety requirements.
  • Ability to utilize AI tools for engineering analysis and optimization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience with automotive power distribution and vehicle electrical architectures.
  • Experience with Ford engineering tools and processes, including FEDE, Jama, GPDS, and Jira.
  • Experience using MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication systems and networks.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams and suppliers.
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder communication skills.
