Technical Analyst I / EDI Analyst
Location: Deerfield, IL (Hybrid after training)
Pay Rate: Up to $26/hour
Duration: Approximately 4-5 months with potential for extension or future conversion
Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Analyst to support a large-scale system implementation and testing initiative. This role will focus on reviewing transaction data, troubleshooting issues, performing testing activities, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure system functionality and data accuracy. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with EDI experience who enjoys problem-solving and working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support testing efforts for a new enterprise platform implementation.
- Review and validate daily transaction activity and identify discrepancies.
- Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and document findings.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to resolve technical problems.
- Verify system fixes and ensure successful issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate documentation of testing results and process improvements.
- Assist with customer onboarding and other EDI-related initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with EDI transactions and data exchange processes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with software, system, or transaction testing.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of ANSI X12 transactions.
- Experience with XML, UBL, or EDIFACT.
- Familiarity with EDI mapping tools or IBM Transformation Extender (ITX).
- Development or technical support experience.
- Customer-facing or customer service experience.
