Mechanical Assembler III

Location: Minden, NV
Pay Rate: $20.79 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract
Contract Duration: Approximately 18 months
Work Arrangement: Onsite

Position Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler III to join a manufacturing team in Minden, Nevada. This role is responsible for assembling mechanical components, conducting functional testing, calibrating tools and equipment, and preparing finished products for shipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, manufacturing experience, and the ability to work efficiently in a production-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components according to Bills of Material (BOMs) and work instructions
  • Perform functional testing on mechanical assemblies
  • Conduct test assemblies based on product and customer requirements
  • Operate testing equipment in accordance with engineering standards
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain assembly tools and equipment
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and compliance standards are met
  • Document production activities using company systems
  • Prepare completed assemblies for shipment
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing, assembly, or related experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly
  • Manufacturing experience in industrial, electrical, sensor, energy, or related industries
  • Experience using SAP or similar production software
  • Familiarity with testing and calibration equipment

Work Environment

  • Climate-controlled manufacturing facility
  • Standing for the majority of the shift
  • Repetitive assembly and inspection tasks
  • Production expectations of approximately 40 units per hour
  • Safety boots and safety glasses required
