Job Title: Global Underwriting Knowledge Management Specialist
Contract Duration: approximately: as little as two months, but may work into a more permanent position

Work Schedule: 4 hours/day (20 hours per week)
Pay Range: $40-45/hour
Summary
The Global Underwriting Knowledge Management Specialist will be responsible for supporting the management, implementation and ongoing measurement and operation of key Corporate and business unit knowledge-sharing initiatives.
The KM Specialist will serve as the GU KM resource to designated business units by participating in the creation of strategies, recommendations and business cases, and engaging in the development, implementation, promotion and operation of knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
Content Management
- Build and demonstrate expertise in using, driving adoption of and realizing content management methodologies, tools, efficiencies and best practices.
- Assist in the continued development of internal competencies and implementation of content management curation (accuracy, timeliness and relevance) and publishing to a variety of internal and external platforms/channels.
Collaboration
- Act as a resource for underwriting business units in using the enterprise collaboration platform to share information.
User Experience
- Actively partner, contribute and adhere to best practices in developing and influencing end user navigational protocols with regard to accessing information.
- Help establish and adhere to effective content classification and taxonomies.
- Use feedback from representative customers to validate the design and development of system interfaces.
Metrics (operational, utilization, performance)
- Contribute to the development, refinement, management and operation of a robust and sustainable set of analytics focused on measuring initiative impact and effectiveness.
- Help monitor and evaluate the knowledge sharing program, including external benchmarking and evaluation of programs/opportunities. Through results analysis, assist in the implementation of recommendations for on-going improvements.
Search
- Participate in the gathering of requirements for a robust search capability to assist users in finding information.
- Demonstrate expertise in using analytics and other methods to gauge effectiveness and make improvements.
Skills Required
- Software/platform knowledge: Content Management Systems, Collaboration platforms, Search Engines, Web Protocols, advanced proficiency in Microsoft suite (including Access), Google Analytics and visualization.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- A minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible experience in a consulting practice or in a large corporation in a similar operational, research or analytical role.
- Possess knowledge of and exposure to the insurance industry (all lines of business). Prior experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
