Position Summary
This position involves conducting outreach, performing data entry, researching member needs, and assisting clinicians with provider and member-related activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in managed care systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact members to provide education and information about available medical management programs.
- Support clinicians by coordinating provider and member activities, including follow-ups and documentation.
- Conduct research and data entry to support case management and care coordination efforts.
- Respond to member inquiries with professionalism and empathy, ensuring a positive experience.
- Assist in identifying member needs and coordinating appropriate services or referrals.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with organizational standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of college and 2 years of experience with automated systems, or 3 years of experience with automated systems.
- At least 1 year of experience working with managed care systems.
- Experience in coordinating member needs and analyzing care requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other PC-based applications.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and managed care claims systems.
- Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop written correspondence and coach members on medical topics.
