Job Summary

The High Voltage Power Outlet Design & Release Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and testing of consumer charging systems for ICE, EV, and other electric?powered products. This senior?level role requires deep expertise in electrical engineering, embedded systems, high?voltage power outlets, and global charging standards. The engineer will lead technical initiatives, mentor junior team members, and drive continuous improvement across charging technologies. This hybrid position requires onsite work Monday through Thursday.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design, development, and release of high?voltage power outlet systems and consumer charging solutions.

  • Develop and validate AC/DC charging technologies, DC?AC systems, and high?current power outlets.

  • Ensure compliance with global safety standards, regulations, and certifications (ISO, UL, IEC, FuSa, etc.).

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

  • Collaborate with cross?functional teams to integrate charging solutions into vehicles and consumer products.

  • Utilize 3D modeling tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, NX, Teamcenter, 3DX) to support design and release activities.

  • Apply PPAP processes and documentation, understanding levels 0–3 and their applications.

  • Define and manage technical requirements for high?voltage and inverter?based systems.

  • Support embedded systems development and electrical circuit design.

  • Stay current on emerging charging technologies, including wireless and fast?charging solutions.

  • Manage projects to ensure timely delivery of high?quality charging systems.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (required).

  • 5+ years of experience designing and testing consumer charging systems or related technologies.

  • Expertise in AC/DC chargers, high?voltage outlets, and inverter technologies.

  • Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN).

  • Experience with safety and regulatory standards (ISO 26262, UL, IEC, FuSa).

  • Proficiency in embedded systems and electrical circuit design.

  • Strong analytical and problem?solving skills with a consumer?focused mindset.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, including mentoring experience.

  • Hands?on experience with CATIA or similar 3D modeling tools.

  • Knowledge of PPAP processes and automotive electrical systems.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.

  • Formal training or certification in functional safety (ISO 26262).

  • Experience with charging infrastructure and vehicle electrical architectures.

  • Background in program management or familiarity with PMI methodologies.

  • Programming experience (Python, C++, or similar).

  • Experience leading technical initiatives and engineering teams.

  • Understanding of consumer?focused product design and user experience principles.

  • Hybrid schedule: In?office Monday–Thursday, remote on Friday.
