Accounting Analyst 
W2 Contract
$25/hr

Duties & Responsibilities:
 

  • Provides office services by organizing office operations and procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence.
  • Meets office services financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Provides historical reference systems by designing filing, storage, and retrieval systems; defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
  • Achieves office services operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, customer-service, safety, security, and health standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; identifying, developing, and implementing system improvements.
  • Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment and supplies procurement, operation, and storage.
  • Performs account reconciliations and Balance Sheet variance analysis for assigned accounts; contributes to the financial reporting process through preparation of schedules supporting disclosures.
  • Performs the processing of month end close to ensure accurate financial records and timely preparation of the financial statements.
  • Processes transactions to manage the lease process, overhead allocations and other accounting transactions.
  • Provides accounting guidance utilizing general accepted accounting principles(GAAP) and regulatory resources to direct proper charging of expenditures.
  • Records monthly and non-recurring general ledger entries.
  • Reviews accounts for proper set up and analyzes expenditures to validate the appropriateness of charging.
  • Reviews general ledger (G/L) to ensure all activity is properly recorded and general account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Other non-essential duties as assigned or may be necessary

 

Skills: 

  • Supervising staff, planning, organizing, and implementing administrative processes
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Manage supplies, equipment, and established procedures for department/facility
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to obtain and use large data sets to analyze and solve problems.  
  • Able to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while adhering to deadlines  
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting software (i.e., SAP)
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and principles.  
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving.  

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline is required
  • 2-4 years of experience in Accounting; working with general ledgers and financial reports is required
  • Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) is preferred
