Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer II to join a fast-paced technology organization focused on building scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting full-stack applications across distributed microservices environments while collaborating closely with product managers, architects, and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience with Java, Python, React, AWS, and modern DevOps practices, along with the ability to thrive in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications utilizing microservices architecture and cloud-native technologies.
  • Build and enhance backend services using Java (Spring Boot), Python, and RESTful APIs.
  • Develop responsive and user-friendly front-end applications using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Create and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and integrations supporting business-critical applications.
  • Design and maintain secure APIs and service integrations across distributed systems.
  • Leverage AWS cloud services including S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, Glue, CloudWatch, and OpenSearch.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL to support application performance and scalability.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support automated deployments through modern DevOps practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, compliant, and high-quality software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, optimize system performance, and ensure application reliability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience does not apply).
  • At least 1 year of hands-on cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Strong backend development experience with:
    • Java
    • Spring Boot
    • REST API development
    • Python (ETL, scripting, data pipelines)
  • Strong frontend development experience with:
    • React
    • TypeScript
    • HTML/CSS
  • Hands-on AWS experience with services such as:
    • S3
    • IAM
    • RDS
    • Glue
    • Lambda
    • CloudWatch
    • OpenSearch
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
  • Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience developing within secure, regulated, and compliance-driven environments.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience with one or more of the following:
    • Java
    • Python
    • Spark
    • Go
    • Node.js
  • Experience with Snowflake and/or Delta Lake.
  • Experience with Spark or PySpark.
  • Experience with Apache Airflow or other workflow orchestration platforms.
  • Knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience working within AML, financial crimes, banking, or financial services environments.
  • Experience handling PCI, CAT1, or other highly sensitive regulated data.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and delivery speed.
