Job Description:
Position Summary
We are seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support and coordinate a variety of HR functions that contribute to an efficient and compliant workplace. This role will partner with managers and employees on employment policies, personnel processes, onboarding activities, records management, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Advise managers and employees on employment regulations, company policies, procedures, benefits, and compensation programs.
  • Assist with employee relations matters and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws.
  • Evaluate job positions, determine job classifications, and assist with compensation and salary administration.
  • Prepare and maintain job descriptions, salary structures, organizational charts, and related HR documentation.
  • Support onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, orientation preparation, personnel files, and record maintenance.
  • Assist with unemployment claims administration and related documentation.
  • Support job abandonment processes and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Coordinate uniform orders and vendor communications to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Assist with interview coordination and recruitment-related activities as needed.
  • Prepare HR reports, workforce analyses, and documentation to support organizational planning and decision-making.
  • Maintain employee handbooks, policy documentation, and personnel records.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0–2 years of experience in customer service, human resources, administrative support, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) practices.
  • Familiarity with employee benefits and compensation programs.
  • Experience maintaining confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, employee relations, or recruitment processes.

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • HRIS or personnel record systems (preferred)
  • General proficiency with business software and office applications
