Quality Engineer III

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support quality initiatives within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong automotive quality experience and a solid understanding of industry-standard quality tools and methodologies. This role will be responsible for improving product and process quality, supporting quality systems, conducting root cause investigations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support quality planning and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, process flows, and inspection procedures.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform and support PPAP submissions and APQP activities for new and existing products.
- Utilize SPC, MSA, and FMEA methodologies to monitor and improve process performance.
- Analyze quality data and generate reports using Minitab and Microsoft Office applications.
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 quality standards.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints to verify product requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and quality teams to resolve quality issues.
- Support training efforts related to quality processes and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of:
- PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
- APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
- FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
- SPC (Statistical Process Control)
- MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis)
- AIAG Core Tools
- IATF 16949 standards
- Experience using Minitab and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
- Experience leading quality improvement projects.
- Six Sigma certification.
- Knowledge of CAD software and engineering applications.
