Team Lead – Sheetmetal
Location: East Moline, IL (Onsite)
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay Rate: $37.00 – $39.00/hour
Schedule: Overtime and weekend work required based on business needs

A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Team Lead – Sheetmetal to oversee daily production operations, drive team performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between production employees and management while ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and production goals are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise production, maintenance, and/or warehouse employees in daily operations
- Drive departmental performance in safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and schedule attainment
- Investigate and resolve production, personnel, process, and equipment-related issues
- Monitor employee and line performance and provide coaching, corrective action, and training as needed
- Partner with safety teams to enforce safety standards and maintain a safe work environment
- Coordinate maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and utilization
- Manage departmental costs and support budget objectives
- Communicate expectations, provide feedback, and foster a positive team environment
- Ensure employees receive appropriate training, work instructions, and resources
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting required
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing production teams and driving operational performance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general computer applications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
