Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support quality initiatives within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong automotive quality experience and a solid understanding of industry-standard quality tools and methodologies. This role will be responsible for improving product and process quality, supporting quality systems, conducting root cause investigations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support quality planning and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, process flows, and inspection procedures.
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Perform and support PPAP submissions and APQP activities for new and existing products.
  • Utilize SPC, MSA, and FMEA methodologies to monitor and improve process performance.
  • Analyze quality data and generate reports using Minitab and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Conduct audits and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 quality standards.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints to verify product requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and quality teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Support training efforts related to quality processes and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
    • APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
    • FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
    • SPC (Statistical Process Control)
    • MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis)
    • AIAG Core Tools
    • IATF 16949 standards
  • Experience using Minitab and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Experience leading quality improvement projects.
  • Six Sigma certification.
  • Knowledge of CAD software and engineering applications.
