Maintenance Planner
Location: Ankeny, IA
Pay: $25.00 – $27.00/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime: Available during the week and occasional weekends
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to support maintenance operations within a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventative and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and support efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both in an office setting and on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventative and predictive maintenance activities
- Receive and prioritize maintenance work requests from across the facility
- Assign work orders and coordinate maintenance activities with maintenance personnel
- Maintain and update maintenance records, schedules, and reports
- Assist with identifying parts, tools, materials, and services required for repairs
- Obtain quotes and coordinate purchase orders for maintenance-related items
- Track inventory levels and maintenance stock to support operational efficiency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and uptime
- Help maintain compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and company safety standards
- Provide technical and administrative support to maintenance teams and plant operations
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience in maintenance planning, maintenance coordination, manufacturing operations, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Experience maintaining maintenance records, schedules, and work orders
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking systems is a plus
Work Environment
- Fully onsite position
- Approximately 80% of time spent on the manufacturing floor
- Must be comfortable working around industrial equipment and production operations
- Business casual dress code
- Safety footwear required
