Epitec is seeking to hire a Buyer III to support the procurement and supplier management of critical spaceflight systems for a leading aerospace organization. This individual will own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, manage strategic supplier relationships, negotiate complex contracts, and ensure timely delivery of production materials supporting highly advanced aerospace programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct suppliers and cross-functional teams supporting external development of spaceflight systems.

  • Lead procurement activities from requisition creation through invoice payment.

  • Prepare and issue RFPs/RFQs.

  • Perform cost and price analysis to support sourcing decisions.

  • Develop and execute supplier negotiation strategies.

  • Negotiate and manage various contract types including:

    • Firm Fixed Price (FFP)

    • Time & Materials (T&M)

    • Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF)

    • Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF)

  • Lead development and management of Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) and strategic sourcing partnerships.

  • Ensure suppliers meet delivery schedules, budget requirements, and technical specifications.

  • Track procurement metrics and supplier performance.

  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to meet program objectives.

  • Support overall procurement strategy and corporate sourcing initiatives.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field with 5+ years of Supply Chain/Procurement experience

    • OR

  • Master’s Degree with 3+ years of Supply Chain experience

  • Experience in procurement and supplier management

  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

  • Experience negotiating and administering multiple contract types

  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Understanding of AS9100 standards

  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation including:

    • Specifications

    • Source control drawings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace or Space industry experience

  • Experience supporting Avionics or Fluids components

  • Knowledge of ITAR/EAR regulations

  • CPSM Certification

  • CSCP Certification

  • PMP Certification

  • Experience with:

    • Deltek Costpoint

    • Jira

    • SharePoint
