Job Description:

Electrical Engineer – Data Center Power / UPS Systems

Overview
We’re seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer with a strong foundation in electrical power systems, specifically UPS and critical power infrastructure. This is a highly technical, individual contributor role—not a program management or safety-focused position. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with electrical systems, interpreting diagrams, and advising on power requirements within data center or critical facility environments.

This role is well suited for an engineer who is technically curious, eager to learn, and able to quickly contribute.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise on electrical power systems, with an emphasis on UPS architecture and connectivity
  • Analyze power requirements, load capacity, and redundancy needs for critical systems
  • Interpret electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and power distribution designs
  • Support design reviews and technical decision-making related to power infrastructure
  • Collaborate with facilities, operations, and engineering teams to ensure reliable power delivery
  • Troubleshoot electrical and power-related issues
  • Take a hands-on, independent approach to technical problem solving

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles
  • Working knowledge of UPS systems, including:
    • System connectivity within electrical infrastructure
    • Load calculations and capacity planning
    • Redundancy and reliability concepts
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams
  • Comfortable in a technical, non-PM role
  • Self-directed and able to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in data centers, critical facilities, or industrial power environments
  • Exposure to PDUs, switchgear, generators, or related electrical infrastructure

Benefits: 80 hours paid time off, medical insurance contributions, dental vision and our 401k retirement savings plan
