Summary

Our client is seeking an Engineer Technician II to support the testing and qualification of electronic products for production readiness within a hands-on manufacturing and lab environment.

This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined, detail-oriented technician who enjoys troubleshooting, working with electronic assemblies, and collaborating closely with engineering teams. The Technician will work independently while following established engineering instructions and documentation standards.

This is a great opportunity to build technical experience in electronics testing, lab operations, and manufacturing support within a production-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities

Testing & Lab Support

  • Conduct manual testing of electronic assemblies and document results

  • Set up and configure lab equipment per engineering instructions

  • Use test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and related tools

  • Support product qualification and production readiness testing

Equipment & Product Maintenance

  • Perform routine maintenance on test equipment and electronic products

  • Identify issues using structured troubleshooting methodologies

  • Escalate findings and document root cause observations as required

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate product records, test results, and documentation

  • Read and interpret engineering documents, schematics, and diagrams

  • Ensure all testing and documentation meet established quality standards


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing tools

  • Understanding of troubleshooting methodologies and root cause analysis

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics and diagrams

  • Strong documentation and record?keeping skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision


What Makes You Stand Out

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and electronic components

  • Hands-on experience with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)

  • Background or experience in one or more of the following:

    • Electronics

    • Electrical or electrician work

    • On-road or off-road automotive repair

    • Communication or networking hardware

    • Robotics, automation, or mechatronics

    • Farming or heavy equipment environments
