Title: Production Associate I – Disassembly (1st Shift)

Duration: 12-Month W2 Contract
Compensation: $23.50/hr + Benefits
Role Summary
We are seeking a mechanically inclined Production Associate to support a leading manufacturer’s engine remanufacturing operations in Henderson, Colorado.
This individual will be responsible for the teardown, cleaning, and inspection of large diesel engine components, helping prepare materials for the next stage of production. The ideal candidate will have automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or mechanical experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and experience using hand and power tools are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Disassemble 60L and 78L diesel engines using hand and power tools
- Remove, inspect, and organize engine components for further processing
- Clean and prepare parts for production and remanufacturing operations
- Perform quality inspections and identify damaged or non-conforming materials
- Operate safely around cranes and heavy lifting equipment
- Follow standard work instructions, manufacturing processes, and quality procedures
- Maintain production pace and achieve daily productivity goals
- Support equipment care, routine housekeeping, and work area cleanliness
- Report safety hazards, quality concerns, and production issues as needed
- Collaborate with production teams, skilled trades, and support personnel
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or mechanical repair experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and large engine components
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions
- Reliable attendance and ability to meet production expectations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience
- Diesel engine teardown or rebuild experience
- Heavy equipment maintenance experience
- Automotive technician background
- Engine remanufacturing experience
- Manufacturing or production experience
- Quality inspection or quality control experience
- Experience working around cranes or material handling equipment
- Knowledge of SPC, poka-yoke, or visual manufacturing standards
Travel & Work Environment
- Fully onsite position
