Production Supervisor – 1st Shift

Location: Horicon, WI
Pay: $41-$44/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM) + overtime as needed


Overview

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supervising production employees, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met, and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead production employees to meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency goals
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and communicative team environment
  • Manage daily production activities, staffing, and workflow based on production schedules
  • Train, onboard, and develop employees to ensure team success
  • Monitor product quality and troubleshoot manufacturing issues
  • Implement and enforce safety programs and company policies
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
  • Track and improve team performance, productivity, and operational metrics

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time (JIT), Kanban, or similar principles
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, supply chain, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of team leadership or supervisory experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a factory environment
  • Experience working in a union environment
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Project management or continuous improvement experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience also considered

Work Environment

  • On-site role in a manufacturing facility
  • Requires flexibility for overtime and occasional weekend work
  • PPE required (safety shoes, etc.)

You will serve as the front-line leader on the production floor, ensuring operations run safely, efficiently, and on schedule while supporting and developing your team.
