Production Supervisor – 1st Shift
Location: Horicon, WI
Pay: $41-$44/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM) + overtime as needed
Overview
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supervising production employees, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met, and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead production employees to meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency goals
- Foster a positive, accountable, and communicative team environment
- Manage daily production activities, staffing, and workflow based on production schedules
- Train, onboard, and develop employees to ensure team success
- Monitor product quality and troubleshoot manufacturing issues
- Implement and enforce safety programs and company policies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
- Track and improve team performance, productivity, and operational metrics
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time (JIT), Kanban, or similar principles
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, supply chain, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of team leadership or supervisory experience
- 2+ years of experience in a factory environment
- Experience working in a union environment
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Project management or continuous improvement experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
- Associate degree or equivalent experience also considered
Work Environment
- On-site role in a manufacturing facility
- Requires flexibility for overtime and occasional weekend work
- PPE required (safety shoes, etc.)
